The City of Liverpool was 800 years old in 2007, and were also crowned the 'European Capital of Culture' for the year 2008, Where it had a succesful year filled with fabulous Cultural events to suit everyones taste .

There are many places to visit whilst visiting the City, including The Albert Dock, The Tate Gallery, The Museum of Liverpool, The Walker Gallery, The Anglican & Catholic Cathedrals, The Met Quarter and the recently opened Liverpool One Shopping Area.

Great Restaurants are in abundance in the City, the choice is endless. The famous 60 Hope Street and The London Carriageworks to name but a few, offer a wide range of fine Cuisine. Liverpool has the oldest Chinese community in Europe, this is reflected in the choice of Chinese Restaurants on offer to you. A night on the Town cannot be missed, no matter what your age. There is plenty of Pubs/Clubs and restaurants to keep you going. Music is also a big feature of nights out in the City, even more so now with the New 10,500 Seater Echo Arena which was opened in 2008, and of course it would be rude not mention that Liverpool is home to the World famous Beatles.

As well as being home to two of the most famous football teams, Liverpool is home to the World famous Aintree Race course where The Grand National is held every year. The Royal Liverpool Golf Course held the 2008 Open Championships
